1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Find Nuclei Viewer ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Find Nuclei Viewer is a browser-based visualization tool for OME-ZARR (OME-NGFF) microscopy data. The Service is currently in pre-release and is provided free of charge with certain limitations.

The Service allows you to:

• View OME-ZARR datasets from URLs or local files (Chrome/Edge)
• Navigate multi-channel, multi-resolution, Z-stack, and time-lapse data
• Overlay segmentation masks and annotations
• Browse High Content Screening (HCS) plate layouts

3. Free Tier

The free tier includes full viewer functionality with the following conditions:

• Up to 25 images stored in browser history
• A subtle "Powered by Find Nuclei" watermark may be displayed
• Anonymous usage analytics are collected (see Privacy Policy)

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from compiled assets
• Not use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it
• Ensure you have the right to access any data you load into the viewer

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its source code, design, and documentation, is owned by Find Nuclei. You retain full ownership of any data you load into the viewer. The Service does not claim any rights over your data.

6. Data Handling

All image processing and visualization occurs locally in your browser. Your data is never uploaded to our servers. Image metadata, thumbnails, and viewer settings are stored in your browser's IndexedDB and localStorage. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as-is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

The Service is not intended for clinical, diagnostic, or regulatory use. Do not rely on the Service for medical decisions or regulatory submissions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Find Nuclei shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
